HeartWise Training, LLC – Policies, Terms, and Participation Agreement
HeartWise Training, LLC is committed to providing professional, high-quality instruction that prepares individuals to respond confidently in emergency situations. The following policies apply to all courses, services, and training sessions provided by HeartWise Training.
Registration
Course registration is confirmed once payment has been successfully received. Because class sizes are limited, seats are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration secures a participant’s place in the selected course.
Payment
Payment is required at the time of registration unless alternative arrangements have been made for group or organizational training. Registrations are not considered complete until payment has been received. HeartWise Training reserves the right to update course pricing at any time; however, confirmed registrations will not be affected by future price changes.
Rescheduling
Participants who are unable to attend their scheduled class may request to transfer their registration to another available course date. Requests should be made as early as possible and are subject to availability. HeartWise Training will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests.
Refund Policy
All course registrations are considered final once payment has been received. Refund requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for documented emergencies or extenuating circumstances at the discretion of HeartWise Training management. Situations that may be considered include medical emergencies, family emergencies, or course cancellations initiated by HeartWise Training.
Late Arrival and Attendance
Participants must arrive on time and attend the entire training session. Certification programs require completion of all instructional components. Students who arrive late may not be permitted to join the class if critical instruction or skills practice has already begun.
No-Show Policy
Participants who fail to attend their scheduled class and do not provide prior notice may be considered a no-show and may forfeit their registration and payment. Rescheduling after a no-show may be offered at the discretion of HeartWise Training.
Certification Requirements
Certification is granted only to participants who successfully complete all course requirements. This includes attending the full course session, participating in hands-on training activities, demonstrating required skills, and successfully completing any required evaluations or assessments. Attendance alone does not guarantee certification.
Student Participation
Participants are expected to actively participate in training activities, including skills practice involving CPR, AED use, and other emergency response techniques. Instructors reserve the right to determine whether course requirements have been successfully met.
Group and Private Training
HeartWise Training offers group and private training sessions for businesses, organizations, schools, and community groups. Group training must be scheduled in advance and may require a minimum number of participants. Organizations hosting group training may be responsible for providing an appropriate training space that allows for safe instruction and skills practice. Deposits may be required to secure group training dates.
Course Cancellation
HeartWise Training reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to low enrollment, instructor illness, severe weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation initiated by HeartWise Training, participants will be offered the option to transfer to another class date or receive a full refund.
Weather and Emergency Conditions
If severe weather or emergency situations make travel unsafe or prevent instruction from taking place, HeartWise Training may postpone or cancel the scheduled course. Participants will be notified as soon as possible and offered the option to reschedule.
Training Standards
All courses follow established training standards designed to ensure participants receive accurate and effective instruction in emergency response techniques.
Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk
Training courses include hands-on instruction and physical practice using training mannequins and other equipment. Participants acknowledge that training activities may involve minor physical exertion and voluntarily assume any risks associated with participation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants agree to release and hold harmless HeartWise Training, LLC, its instructors, employees, and representatives from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from participation in the training course.
Medical Fitness
Participants confirm that they are physically able to participate in training activities. Individuals with medical concerns or physical limitations should consult a medical professional before attending training and inform the instructor of any relevant conditions.
Photography and Media
From time to time, HeartWise Training may take photographs or video during training sessions for educational or promotional purposes. Participants who do not wish to appear in such materials should notify the instructor prior to the start of the class.
Agreement
By registering for or participating in any course provided by HeartWise Training, LLC, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these policies and terms.
HeartWise Training reserves the right to update or modify these policies at any time.
